Beach update by Pompano Joe’s today 7-17. Water here had small sporatic tarchips about thumbnail size and small in some areas of the beach. The beach today by Pompano Joe’s in Destin was clear today with only a little june-grass. Any signs of tar was hard to find and BP cleaning crews were on the beach searching for anything to clean that they could.

Destin Beach behind the Back Porch just behind Sterling Shores today 7-2 was probably from what I saw the clearest beach of the day. The water was emerald green and clear. I think I even compared it to swimming in the pool while there because the water looked great. Hope the water stays like this [...]

Henderson State Park Beach on 6-28. After hearing of tarballs coming ashore here yesterday we made this one of our stops today.
