Santa Rosa Beach, beach update on 7-22. Looked good today did have june-grass in the water looks like it shouldn’t last long and while there didn’t see any signs of oil on the beach.

Santa Rosa Beach on 7-8 water appeared clear and great day to swim with very light june-grass and some nice waves, somewhat strong undertow so take care swimming not to get pulled out too far.

Santa Rosa Beach today 6-25 at around 2:45pm not 3:45pm said wrong time in video. June grass was in the water to about 30ft out then the water was clear and shallow enough for many to still touch. Here is a video of Santa Rosa Beach taken at Ed Walline park. The water was clear of tarballs and no smell There is June Grass in the water but it is slowly moving east should be cleared up in a couple of days Incoming search terms:was santa rosa beach florida affected by oil spill

There is no oil offshore of Okaloosa County. Okaloosa County’s action plan has been approved by the State of Florida DEP and is still waiting funding through Florida DEP and the BP block grant. Oil is not expected to be in the Okaloosa area through the next 72 hours. The oil has made it into [...]
