The beach today by Pompano Joe’s in Destin was clear today with only a little june-grass. Any signs of tar was hard to find and BP cleaning crews were on the beach searching for anything to clean that they could.

Crystal Beach on 7-7. Was a clear day with plenty of people. Today was a good day and people glad there was no rain.

Crystal Beach on 6-28. Today is an overcast day, rained early this morning and scattered throughout the day. Some tar-chips on the beach. Appeared to be less june-grass today hard to tell because waves were large today.

This update is for Crystal Beach on 6-23. Today we found no effects from the oil spill on the beach. People were in the water swimming and on the beach. The water had some june grass but overall appeared clear.
Destin Beaches by the Crab Trap on scenic 98. The beaches are open no effects from the oil some of my friends report some tarballs but it was clear and looking great no smell of oil and june grass about gone Incoming search terms:crab trap video
There is no oil offshore of Okaloosa County. Okaloosa County’s action plan has been approved by the State of Florida DEP and is still waiting funding through Florida DEP and the BP block grant. Oil is not expected to be in the Okaloosa area through the next 72 hours. The oil has made it into [...]
